Art Class RoomWelcome to the Sharon Community School art page! Here, you can see what your child is doing in the art class room. Under the "Blog" page, you can navigate to your child's grade under the "Categories" section along the right side of the page. Here you can see what projects they recently completed, what concepts they learned about, and student samples of finished art!
About MeMy name is Ms. Seichter and this is my first job graduating from University of Wisconsin-Stout in Art Education, with an emphasis in ceramics. Although I love ceramics, I appreciate all media of art, whether its drawing, painting or sculpture.
I truly believe that art is one of the most beautiful forms of human expression. Learning how to create art involves skill, which might come easier to some than others. However, since it is a skill, it can be learned and it can be practiced. I believe there is an art medium out there for everyone, whether it is 2-D or 3-D. Whether or not you create art, you can still participate in the art world by viewing art, appreciating art, and encouraging artists. It is because of art that our lives are that much more rich and colorful. |
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.” |
